Applications

Deep drawing processes are crucial for automotive, aerospace, and industrial applications. Deep drawn parts are used in industries where the strength-to-weight ratio is important, such as in automotive body parts, industrial containers, and appliances. Specific applications include:

01

Complex shapes.

02

High-volume production.

03

Lightweight parts needing strength
and durability.

How it works

Deep drawing forms sheet metal into a three-dimensional shape by pulling the metal into a die cavity. It is a type of cold forming where metal sheets are stretched and deformed, without the application of heat, to produce components with high strength and complex geometries.

Industries we serve:

Features and benefits

Deep drawing allows manufacturers to create parts with tight tolerances and high structural integrity, while minimizing material waste.

01

Precision and strength.

02

Material efficiency.

03

Lightweight parts.

Heavy-duty meets lightweight

Ensuring the right material, die design, lubrication, and control of forming parameters are key to achieving optimal results.

Material selection

The material chosen must have good formability and ductility. Metals like stainless steel, nickel alloys, aluminum, copper, and brass are often used. We ensure that the thickness of the sheet metal is carefully controlled, as too thick or too thin can affect the outcome.

Die design

The design of the die must be optimized to prevent wrinkles, tearing, or cracks in the metal. Proper die clearance, radius, and lubrication are our key considerations. We ensure that the die is strong enough to withstand the stresses generated during the process.

Proper temperature control

Although deep drawing is a cold forging process, we monitor temperature variations, as metal properties can change at lower or higher temperatures.

Comprehensive capabilities

Our knowledge of deep drawing applications and vertical integration capabilities makes all the difference.
