Masks, Sanitizers and Paracetamol Donation to Pandi’s Legacy in The Gambia

Masks, Sanitizers and Paracetamol Donation to Pandi's Legacy in The Gambia

The Gambia (December 02, 2020) — COVID-19 has cast new light on an existing problem in The Gambia – drug and medical supply shortages. As one of the poorest countries in the world, the dire lack of PPE and devastating shortage in various medication posed a massive threat to disadvantaged Gambians amid the escalating COVID-19 situation.

When Interplex learned about The Gambia’s shortage in basic needs required to fight against COVID-19, we wanted to play our part. We donated re-usable face masks, disposable face masks, paracetamol and sanitizers to a non-profit organization, Pandi’s Legacy.

Through Pandi’s Legacy Sport and Education, 330 disadvantaged children from the school, 200 children from the football academy and young mums with severe medical needs were able to receive the help and support needed in this pandemic.

Interplex is grateful for the opportunity to contribute back to the community. We are proud to lend a hand to those who are most vulnerable during the pandemic and hope that our contributions would make a difference in protecting lives against the virus.  We hope that The Gambia will see an improvement to the situation and be successful in containing the spread of COVID-19.
