Chennai, India (August 20, 2020) — India has been recording the highest number of daily COVID-19 cases and is currently the epicenter of the global coronavirus pandemic. With every day bringing about an escalating number of cases, government interventions to contain the virus have been stepped up. According to Al Jazeera, more than 250,000 samples are being tested daily after months of sluggishness, but experts say that this is insufficient for a country of nearly 1.4 billion people.
As an entity operating in India, Interplex believes we should do our part for the local communities that we are located in. We donated medical supplies ranging from hand sanitizers, fumigators, surgical masks, ECG machines and a High Flow Nasal Oxygen (HFNO) machine to a COVID-19 designated hospital, Govt Medical College Hospital in Tiruvallur, Chennai, India.
